SCOTLAND Reports

Laurieston, Falkirk: A gospel campaign is to be held from 6th to 18th February in Cotton Lane Gospel Hall (DV) with Blair Martin (Whitburn) and Jonathan Millar (Redding, Falkirk). Meetings commence at 8.00pm (there will be no meeting on Saturday 12th February). Prayer is valued.

Lossiemouth: Over the past year the believers in Lossiemouth assembly engaged in a number of activities to mark 50 years of witness from their present location in James Street Gospel Hall. Special editions of their regular gospel leaflet and continued outreach led up to a two week campaign in the gospel at the end of November with Stephen Grant. They were encouraged by those from outwith the assembly who came to the meetings almost every night, sometimes three or four on occasions, including some who had backslidden, and we pray that God will bless the Word that was so faithfully and clearly preached. On the first Friday of the campaign a Sunday School reunion was held, and the hall was packed with many who had never been back to the hall since their childhood. One young man who attended over the last four nights has trusted the Lord. We thank God for this and pray that he may live in such a way as to prove the reality of his faith.

Ayrshire: The Kilwinning assembly used the Blacklands Public Hall for an effort in the gospel last autumn, with local brethren Martin Hunter and Philip Cordiner responsible for the preaching. There was a week of children’s meetings which were well attended, then three weeks of meetings for adults to which a few unbelievers came. The preaching was powerful and clear, and the help and support of other assemblies, organised by the Ayrshire Gospel Outreach, was much appreciated. We look to the Lord for the increase from the Seed sown.

Renfrewshire: About three years ago some brethren in Renfrewshire felt exercised to tract the villages where there is no assembly. Each month since then a group of brothers and sisters have met in Linwood Gospel Hall on Saturday mornings and set out for various districts. Nine villages/small towns have been covered so far, some for a second time. Stalls have also been set up at some local fairs. Contact is also sought via a website address on each tract, and prayer is requested for the progress of the gospel by these means.

WEST MIDLANDS

Birmingham, Northfield: D West conducted a series of ministry meetings entitled "Studies in the Book of Job" during December. Excellent meetings which were a great help and blessing to all who attended.
