SCOTLAND Reports

Aberdeen: Ian Campbell conducted children’s meetings in the country town of Blackburn during November in fellowship with Fountain Hall assembly in Aberdeen. An average of 25 children came nightly, and a few parents were also present most evenings. He was able to speak at five primary schools in the area.

The Fountain Hall assembly has been encouraged by the attendance at the regular gospel meeting of a good number of contacts, mainly through their coffee morning outreach each Saturday. Two local brethren preached for a week in November - up to twelve lost ones came to hear the gospel. Prayer is valued, some are showing a real interest.

Fife: The assembly at Tayport held their annual outreach effort in the gospel for four weeks in October - November, with Blair Martin and Stephen Grant preaching the Word simply and powerfully. Children’s meetings were well attended, but the attendance at the later gospel meetings did not match the promises made during tracting and visiting the homes in the town. Some unsaved people did attend especially during the latter two weeks, however, and some were challenged by the messages given. The assembly continues with its regular weekly meetings for the children and in the gospel on the Lord’s Day evenings, seeking to further contacts made.
