Commendation
The assembly at Harryville, Ballymena have much joy in commending to the Grace of God our brother Mr Jonathan Black who, together with his wife Joy and two children Thomas and Annabel, shortly (DV) move to their field of service in the city of London. Years of personal exercise have developed into a call from God for Jonathan in respect of this particular sphere, a call which the assembly acknowledges and positively supports.

Assemblies
Albion Hall, Montgomery Street, Larkhall. Due to diminishing numbers the decision was taken to close. The believers would like to express their gratitude to everyone who over the years has been a help and an encouragement to them as they sought to maintain a witness for the Lord. There has been a testimony there since 1889 and it is with sadness that this decision was taken.
The testimony and witness which had existed in Kilbarchan since 1879 came to an end on 31st March, when the doors were closed at Memorial Hall. Increasing age, indifferent health, decreasing numbers were contributory factors. Over the years various brethren (some for extended periods) gave help in the gospel and Bible teaching, and appreciation is expressed for their service. Most of the believers have gone to Bridge of Weir (2 miles away).
Patna: Ebenezer Hall. The small assembly had to close on 10th April due to low numbers and illness, after approximately 100 years of testimony. Grateful thanks to the brethren who supported us so faithfully in the gospel.
Portrush Gospel Hall. As from 2nd June the weekly Prayer and Bible Reading will be held on Thursday from 8.00pm-9.15pm.
Closure of the Assembly at Stroud With deep sadness, we have to announce the termination of the assembly testimony at Stroud in Gloucestershire. After 168 years of assembly witness, with 159 years in the hall at Acre Street, it has been necessary to bring the testimony here to a close due to decreasing numbers. Thanks is expressed for the support and assistance received from the Bethany Assembly at Cheltenham over the last 15 to 20 years until closure, when the few who were left were able to travel to find fellowship elsewhere.
