SCOTLAND Reports

Cullen assembly intend to have two weeks’ gospel meetings with Stephen Grant commencing on 28 May. Prayer support would be much valued that the Lord would continue to bless His Word in that area, where already over the past year some have been saved and baptised.

The assembly at Forres had two weeks of gospel meetings with A Paterson and M Hunter in April. A number of contacts were made at the doors, but the local adult response to the meetings was considered poor. A man who is a believer received an invitation, and came to some of the meetings. He has been present at all the assembly gatherings since. Please pray for his wife and family that they might be saved. A few young people came to some of the meetings and although the behaviour was bad, they heard a few gospel truths which we pray will touch their hearts.

In Kinross Gospel Hall during the school Easter holidays, a children’s Holiday Club was held every morning for a week, and attendance figures reached over 50. Good attention was given to the messages from the Bible, backed up by suitable activities and crafts. The local believers worked hard and felt their efforts worthwhile.

Co. LONDONDERRY & Co. DONEGAL

Killykergan: R McKeown and J Rogers are in their fourth week of meetings (end April). Numbers attending from among the locals have been disappointing, but one encouraging feature has been the large number of children present.

Co. TYRONE

Lungs: JG Hutchinson gave a week of edifying ministry in April. Nice numbers came to enjoy and benefit from the Word of God.

BELFAST & DISTRICT

Ballysillan Gospel Hall: During two weeks at the end of March through to the beginning of April we had two weeks of children’s meetings and, later in those evenings, gospel meetings. Mr Uel Finlay spoke to the children, and one little boy told us he received the Lord. Mr Laurence Russell spoke at the gospel meetings, and many unsaved came along with some assembly members. A 35 year old lady received the Lord. She is going on well. We praise and thank the Lord. What an encouragement it is for the assembly to rejoice in these things. We are delighted the Lord has blessed us, and look to greater things (d.v.) in the future.

EIRE Reports

Co. LEITRIM

H Milliken from the Armagh assembly and S Gilfillan from Newtownstewart hope to commence some gospel meetings in this county in early May. Much prayer would be needed as these difficult parts are rarely touched with the gospel.

ENGLAND & WALES Reports

New Bradwell (Milton Keynes): In March two weeks of children’s meetings and gospel meetings were held with Robert Plant who also visited some schools.

Bicester: In February there was one week of children’s meetings and school visits during February with Robert Plant. In April there were two nights in the Towcester Town Hall with Ian Jackson. 100 were present on both nights. Many unsaved were reached with the gospel. This was a follow up to a Seed Sowers event in the town last year arranged by Bicester assembly. There was also a Seed Sowers effort in April in Buckingham. 40 young people distributed 5,000 texts on Easter Saturday. Several replies have been received.

Prayer valued for a month of tent meetings in Bicester commencing July 23rd with Eugene Higgins (USA).

Harrow (Belmont Hall): During April Nitish Patel had 10 days of special gospel meetings.

WEST MIDLANDS

Birmingham, Slade: The testimony at Hunton Hill has been established for 80 years, and it was heartening for the saints to have such good support for their recent Conference. J Coltman and C Lacey gave helpful, profitable ministry which was much appreciated.

Coventry, Church Street: P Young and I Rees were the speakers at the Easter Conference. The believers found the ministry helpful and encouraging. The assembly has also been working amongst refugees, particularly those from Africa. They have recently seen two women baptised. They plan to commence an English course for students, using the Scriptures to develop their knowledge of the language.

Malvern: This year the Annual Conference had a report on the work of Medical Missionary News from T Cox and ministry from P Young. Support from other assemblies was encouraging.
